Dual-sided, dual-textured wipes can be used on hands, tools, equipment and shop surfaces
September 9, 2026
By: Tara Olivo
GearWrench, a hand tool brand, is expanding its shop solutions portfolio with products designed specifically for professional technicians.
Professional mechanics work with oil, grease and grime every day, yet many traditional hand cleaners rely on harsh chemicals that can dry out skin after repeated use. Listening to the voice of the customer, GearWrench developed a new lineup of shop cleaning products that delivers the cleaning performance technicians demand while being easier on their hands.
“The voice of the customer wasn’t just an input—it was the foundation for this product line,” says Jarrett Wolf, director of Product Management at GearWrench. “Professional technicians made it clear they wanted a hand cleaner that could stand up to the toughest grease without leaving their hands dry, cracked and bleeding. We built these products to solve that problem while delivering the performance mechanics expect from GearWrench.”
The lineup includes the GearWrench Heavy-Duty Hand Soap, available in both an 8 oz. handheld bottle and a 64 oz. refill size, and Heavy-Duty Scrubbing Wipes.
These dual-sided, dual-textured wipes not only eliminate the need for repeated trips to the sink but also help remove light scratches, scuffs and marks from painted vehicle surfaces. Featuring an Active Clean Citrus scent, one side of each wipe is textured to provide gentle abrasion for tackling stubborn grease and grime, while the opposite side is smooth for finishing. Both sides utilize the same powerful cleaning formula that lifts dirt and grease while lightly polishing surfaces, making the wipes ideal not only for cleaning mechanics’ hands, but also hand tools, equipment and shop surfaces.
“Mechanics told us they wanted one wipe that could do more,” says Wolf. “These wipes were designed to clean hands, tools and work surfaces with ease, while also helping remove light scratches, scuffs and marks from painted vehicle surfaces—giving technicians one more way to keep both themselves and their customers’ vehicles looking their best.”
The new GearWrench Shop Cleaning lineup is available now through authorized GearWrench distributors and retailers.
